A: This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend! Whether you want to sprint, run, walk or jog, we’d love to have you participate.
A: The registration fee will periodically increase as we get closer to race day.  Register today for the lowest possible rate. A VIDA Thrive 5k tshirt is included in the registration fee. As this is a charity event, there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
A: Registration will close Friday, November 17th at 11:59pm. There will be NO race-day registration, so please register in advance!.
A:Packet pickup will take place at VIDA Verizon on Thursday, November 16th from 9am-6pm, and VIDA U Street on Friday, November 17th from 9am-6pm.
A: Yes. Numbered tear off tags will be available on your bibs to pin to your bag.
A: Yes! Visit our registration page and let us know your team name and team member names when registering.
A: Then we’ll get wet! This race will be held rain or shine. In the event of a catastrophic weather event that prevents the race from being held all proceeds will be donated directly to Thrive DC.
A:Race participants will receive an official VIDA Thrive 5k tshirt (T-shirt sizes can only be guaranteed to those who register by 10/21), plus coupons and swag to local DC retailers. Awards go to Top Team, Top 3 male & female overall, and the male & female age division winners.
A:Please note that while we intend for all runners to receive a swag bag, it’s possible that our number of registrants surpasses the amount of bags we have. Swag bags will be distributed on a first come first served basis, so please plan on picking up your race packet as soon as possible to ensure you receive your swag bag.
A: Join one of our official 5k training teams at VIDA Fitness! Our experienced running coaches are happy to help you get ready for your first 5k. Please contact agriffin@vidafitness.com to find the team that best fits your schedule.
A: Yes, you’ll be able to see your exact finish time shortly after completing the race.   Please check back on race day for the link to the page.
A: Yes, we will have first aid and CPR trained staff members on site.
A: Yes, grand prize awards are given to the top-3 overall male and female, the 1st place team (trophy), and for 1st place in each age-group (19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+).
A: Join us at the finish line for a post-race refuel and our awards ceremony! All race winners must be present to collect their prizes.
A: Parking will be available at the East Potomac pool/ golf center, a short walk away from the staging area. Additional parking will be located along Ohio Dr and in NPS police headquarters lots, also a short walk to the staging area.
